A Unique Holiday on the Houseboat "Roma"

Dear guests, our modern, license-free houseboat "Roma," built in 2023, invites you to an unforgettable holiday experience on the Mecklenburg Lake District.

The houseboat offers a spacious living and dining area, as well as 2 bedrooms, providing accommodation for up to 7 people (1x double bed, 1 bunk bed + 1 single bed, 1 double sofa bed in the salon). It also features a fully equipped bathroom with a washbasin, shower, and toilet. The kitchenette includes a fridge, freezer, stove with oven, and a dishwasher – everything you need for a relaxing cooking experience. Enjoy the view through the large panoramic windows while sitting at the spacious dining table.

On sunny days, the large sun terrace with comfortable lounge furniture invites you to relax. With just a few steps, you can stretch a large sunshade over the terrace. Enjoy the sunshine or take a refreshing dip in the water. If the weather turns cooler, the heating and cozy gas fireplace will keep you warm. Additionally, Wi-Fi and a large Smart TV are provided on board.

Our houseboat is equipped with four solar panels on the rooftop terrace, generating a maximum output of 1,600 watts. This sustainable energy source supports the onboard systems and helps reduce the need for electricity from external sources.

The generated energy is stored in the boat's pre-installed batteries, providing you with a reliable power supply even when you're away from the marina. This means even more independence on the water – eco-friendly and efficient.

A grill for a BBQ evening, as well as a stand-up paddleboard, canoe, electric dinghies, or bicycles, can be rented for a fee from the harbour master. Please note that dogs are not allowed on board. 

Important Details:

• Clearance height: 3.90 m (5.40 m with the sunshade extended). Remember to retract the sunshade before passing under bridges or other obstacles.
• The boat’s leisurely pace focuses more on enjoying the surrounding nature than covering long distances, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the beauty of the landscape.

Key Information:

• Check-in/out: Boat handovers and returns are available Monday through Saturday. The marina is closed on Sundays.
• Home base: Marina Röblinsee in Fürstenberg an der Havel.
• Restricted Areas: Please note that our houseboats cannot access the Müritz due to operational limitations.
• License Requirement: A charter certificate is required, which you can obtain on arrival through a 3-hour course covering theory and practical skills (unless you already have an inland boating license). Optional skipper training (45 minutes, €50) is available for less experienced guests. Plan to arrive by 1:00 PM.
• Crew Requirement: For safe navigation and lock operations, a minimum of three adults is required onboard.
• Wind Restrictions: In winds of force 2 or higher, the houseboat should remain in the marina due to its sensitivity to wind. At force 3.5, leaving the marina is strictly prohibited.
• Fuel Costs: Fuel consumption is charged at the end of your trip at €4 per liter.
