Kölpinsee: the gateway to the Oberseen
The Kölpinsee adjoins the Müritz directly to the west and is the gateway to the Oberseen. If you cruise the long round from Rheinsberg or Fürstenberg, you pass it on the way to Fleesensee and Plauer See.
Wooded shores, quiet bays and plenty of nature make it a relaxed section of the journey.
Transition from the Müritz
From the north-west of the Müritz the route leads via the Kölpinsee into the chain of Oberseen. The water is deep and clear; along the shores forest, reed belts and small villages such as Untergöhren take turns.
Calm between the great lakes
After the wide Müritz the Kölpinsee feels calmer and more sheltered – good for a relaxed evening at anchor before heading on to Fleesensee and Plauer See.
