You can helm many of our motor yachts on a charter certificate: after a briefing at the jetty you receive a temporary permit for your travel period. Some larger or faster models require the inland boating licence. Each boat states what applies – and we'll help you find the right one.

Do I need a boating licence for a motor yacht?
Not necessarily: you can helm many models on a charter certificate, which you receive after a briefing at the jetty for your travel period. Some larger or faster yachts require the inland boating licence – this is stated on each boat.
How far can I get with a motor yacht in a week?
Considerably further than with a leisurely houseboat: from the Rheinsberg lakes the lakes around Rheinsberg are a few hours away, and the Mecklenburg Lake District is within reach too. Exact times depend on locks and your pace.
Which marina do the motor yachts start from?
Most set off from Marina Wolfsbruch in the Rheinsberg lakes; some models are berthed at Marina Röblinsee in Fürstenberg/Havel. The home marina is stated on each boat.
What costs are added to the rental?
Depending on the provider there is a service fee, fuel and a deposit; bed linen and extras such as a tender or SUP are partly bookable. You'll see the exact additional costs at the booking step for each boat.
Are the motor yachts suitable for beginners?
Yes – with a briefing. Many models have a bow thruster that makes mooring easier. If you're unsure, we're happy to advise you on a suitable entry-level model.
